OFFICIAL RESULTS OF 2026 SPECIAL PRIMARY DISTRICT 26

There will be a run-off on February 3, 2026 between Wade Dunn and Brad C. Simon. Early voting will begin Tuesday, January 27, 2026 beginning at 8:00 a.m. and will run through Monday February 2, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.

The above document is the official proclamation made by Arkansas Governor Sanders in regard to the Special Election for State Senate District 26. The Special Primary will be held January 6, 2026. If there is a run-off, it will be held February 3, 2026. The Special General will be held March 3, 2026.
RULES FOR VOTING IN THE PRIMARY:
The new rules for the 2026 Primary are as follows: If you are registered as a Republican or Independent (Optional) in Arkansas, you will have access to the Republican, Democratic, or Non-Partisan primary ballot. If you are registered as a Democrat in Arkansas, you will have access to a Democratic or Non-Partisan primary ballot.
Please remember that crossover voting is illegal.
2026 Preferential Primary Election Dates
Primary Election Day will be March 3, 2026 and polls will open at 7:30 a.m. and close promptly at 7:30 p.m.
Early Voting will begin February 17, 2026 (Monday February 16, 2026 is a holiday) at 8:00 a.m. The early polls will be open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The last day of early voting will be March 2, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
